What is a Micronation and What Beanwai Means
A micronation is a small, self-declared community or nation created by individuals or a group, often built around shared values, culture, and imagination. While it has its own symbols, laws, and traditions, a micronation is not recognized as a country by governments and does not replace your citizenship in your home nation.
The Kingdom of Beanwai is a micronation based on ideas and community, not a physical country where someone can immediately move to live permanently. It is a place to belong through shared values, participation, and creativity, rather than a relocation destination.
What you can do in Beanwai:
-
Join the community as a citizen and participate in its culture, festivals, and projects.
-
Learn and live by the principles of unity, respect, and shared responsibility.
-
Contribute to the vision of Beanwai and celebrate its arts, crafts, and traditions.
Visiting Beanwai in the future:
Eventually, Beanwai hopes to welcome visitors who want to experience the culture firsthand, through stays similar to a bed-and-breakfast or cultural retreat. Guests will be able to participate in festivals, crafts, and community activities—but for now, Beanwai is an idea and a shared vision, not a permanent residence.
Important:
-
Citizenship in Beanwai does not replace your home country’s citizenship.
-
It is about belonging, participation, and shared values, not legal residency.
-
Beanwai offers a way to connect with others who share your love of imagination, community, and purpose.
In short: Beanwai is a nation of the heart and mind first, a place to experience and contribute to, with the hope that someday it may also become a place to visit physically.
